Privacy policy

We take your privacy seriously. Here is a clear overview of what personal data we process, why, for how long, who we share it with and what rights you have. No legalese bloat, but everything GDPR requires.

Who is the data controller

What data we process and why

We only process data you give us, and only for the purposes below:

  • Contact form: name, company name, e-mail and optionally phone and message text. Purpose: to reply to your enquiry and possibly discuss working together. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract and our legitimate interest in replying; for optional fields, your consent.
  • GrowthEngine newsletter: e-mail address. Purpose: sending a roundup of our articles and news. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via one-click unsubscribe.
  • Ordinary communication: if you e-mail or call us, we process the data needed to handle your query.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiries and related communication for the duration of discussions and afterwards for as long as necessary for our legitimate interests and legal obligations, at most for a reasonable period after contact ends. The newsletter e-mail is kept until you withdraw consent. After that we delete or anonymise the data.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. To run the site and deliver messages we use vetted processors:

  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): delivery of submitted forms to our e-mail.
  • Vercel Inc.: website hosting.
  • E-mail provider: for receiving and storing communication.

Some processors may be based outside the EU (e.g. in the USA). In that case the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards under GDPR (standard contractual clauses, or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

Cookies and tracking

This site is deliberately lean. We use no analytics or marketing cookies, no third-party trackers and no Google Analytics. Fonts are self-hosted, so nothing loads from external servers. At most we use technically essential means for the basic operation of the page. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent up front via a cookie banner and update this document.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict processing, data portability, the right to object and to withdraw consent at any time. Exercise them by e-mail at daniel@votruba.com. If you believe we process data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
