Accessibility statement
We want this website to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard or have a visual or other impairment. Here is what we do and how to tell us when something does not work.
Our commitment
We treat accessibility as part of the craft, not an afterthought. We aim for the website to meet the international WCAG 2.2 level AA standard, and we keep improving it.
What we do for accessibility
- Semantic HTML and a logical heading structure so the site reads well with screen readers.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
- Full keyboard operability and a visible focus indicator.
- A "skip to content" link at the start of the page.
- Text alternatives for image and icon content.
- Responsive design that works on mobile and when the page is zoomed.
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting (prefers-reduced-motion), so animations disturb no one.
- Readable fonts and sizes and a sensible line length.
Known limitations
Decorative elements are hidden from screen readers so they do not distract. We test the site regularly, yet a partial barrier may appear, especially in older materials. If you find one, we will fix it.
